“Personal Information” is any information that is identifiable with you, including names, addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers, as well as other non-public information that is associated with the foregoing.
Your Personal Information will be processed in the United States where laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.
Information We Collect From You
When you voluntarily fill out surveys, company ratings, registration forms, or provide us with other Personal Information at the Site, we collect and process that information in accordance with this Policy. From time to time we change our offerings and features. As a result, the options you have to provide us with Personal Information may also change. Here are examples of situations where you have the opportunity to actively provide us with Personal Information:
- Creating an account
- Getting matched to companies and job opportunities
- Submitting a company review
- Completing a form related to one of our products or services
- Contacting our support team
The Personal Information we collect for you may vary depending on how you interact with the Site. For example, to create an account we may ask only for an email address and password. In other circumstances, we may ask you to provide other information. For example, for our company ratings you may be required to provide information such as job title and career level, and you may be invited to provide optional information such as demographic information. We also collect and store certain information associated with actions you take. For example, when you search for jobs, we store the titles and other information about the jobs you click on. We also store other information about your behavior on our Site.
To create an account, you have the option of using a social networking site (each a “Social Site”) such as LinkedIn, Facebook, or others. We receive and collect any information you authorize the Social Site to share with us, and it becomes InHerSight account information for your use on the Site. This information is Personal Information that is processed and handled in accordance with this Policy. You may disconnect your Social Site account from your InHerSight account by sending us an email at email@example.com.
When you create an account on InHerSight, you may create a profile (“User Profile”) that will include other Personal Information you provide. We may create your User Profile with information extracted through account information we have received from a Social Site. You have the ability to edit any Personal Information in your User Profile, deactivate your User Profile in your account, or request that your User Profile be deleted by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you create a User Profile, you have the option of requesting that your saved User Profile be viewed by prospective employers. Your User Profile does not include or link to information you submit to the Site anonymously (for example, company ratings, and questions and answers you submit to our community that you submit anonymously).
Users of the Site may provide us with email addresses of people in their network for us to send an email inviting those people to visit the Site and use one of our products or services. Employers who have free employer accounts and may provide us with work email addresses of their employees for use to send an email asking those employees to rate the employer on the Site.
Any credit card information you enter on the Site in connection with a purchase of one of our products or services is sent directly from your browser to the third-party service provider we use to manage credit card processing and we do not store it on our servers. The service provider is not permitted to use the information you provide except for the sole purposes of credit card processing on our behalf.
Information We Collect Passively
When you use our Site and services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting, the web-pages you visit, the search terms you use, and any advertisements on which you click.

How We Use the Information We Collect
InHerSight is committed to protecting your privacy. As such, we will not give, rent, lend, or sell your individual information unless you ask or authorize us to do so. We also will not disclose any personally identifiable information about our individual users except as described in this Policy.
In general, information you submit to us is used by us to provide you and other Users with services, respond to requests that you make, to improve our services and to better tailor the features and support of services. To best provide our services, it is essential that we are able to collect and use the information as described in this Policy, and it is largely necessary for fulfilling the relationship we have with you.
One of the purposes of the Site is to aggregate and share employment-related information with other Users. Therefore, you should assume that any information (excluding any personally identifiable information) that you submit will be anonymized, aggregated, and made available to other Users of the Site and services. In the event that we provide you with the ability to anonymously post certain comments, we will not include anything personally identifiable with those comments on the Site. However, you should know that our internal records may associate your contact information with such information.
We may use the information we collect to provide you with personalized content, services offered by InHerSight, as well as promotional content and services.
We may use the information we collect to determine relevant search results and provide you with recommended jobs or companies, or to reach out to you about jobs or companies you may be interested in.
We may use the information we collect to provide you with announcements, notifications related to the services we provide, and other communications such as electronic newsletters, promotional e-mails or similar messaging.
We may share certain information that does not identify you personally, but that is unique to your use of the Site, such as job titles that you have entered at the time of registration or on your profile. We do not link this information to personally identifiable information when we provide it to others, such as advertisers, recruiters, or employers.
We may also use the information we collect to conduct research on our Users’ demographics and behavior based on the information you provide us when you submit information on our site. This research is usually conducted and analyzed on an aggregate basis, but may also be combined with Personal Information to help us improve our services.
We may use the information we collect to customize and improve features, performance and support of the site, to provide relevant advertising, including interest-based advertising from us and third parties, to share your saved User Profile with employers, to analyze use of and improve the Site, to create aggregate and statistical data that does not identify you individually and that we can commercialize, and for other purposes that you separately authorize as you interact with the Site.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Except as otherwise stated in this Policy, we do not disclose to or share your Personal Information with third parties, unless you ask or authorize us to do so.

Choices Regarding Personal Information

You can review and change certain of your Personal Information by logging into the Site and visiting your account profile page. After you submit a company rating and review, you will be unable to change or edit the information you have provided through the Site. You can request changes to or the deletion of your company rating and review by submitting a request to us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org. To edit or delete a company rating and review, there must be an account and email address associated with the company rating, and you must send the request from the email address we have on file.
To request removal of any or all Personal Information, please submit your request to us in writing at email@example.com. We will attempt to fulfill your request within 30 days. InHerSight will have no liability whatsoever for any deletion of your data, unless you are a European site user, in which case you are covered by Outside of the United States. We will evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis, and when we delete Personal Information that we have collected from or about you, it will be deleted from our active databases but may remain in our archives. We cannot delete certain of your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
If you delete any user content from the Site (for example, a company rating and review or questions in our community), copies of your user content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or store by other Site users.
Users Outside of the United States
Our Site is hosted in the United States and our services are provided from the United States. It is possible that certain information will be stored on servers in multiple other countries on the “cloud” or other similar distributed hosting platforms. If you are a resident of any country other than the United States, please note that by providing your Personal Information to us, you are consenting to the transfer of your Personal Information to the United States and other jurisdictions as indicated above, and to our use and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.
